Goals: Principal Foster expressed the folowing school goals for the use of technology at the school.
  • Goal One: To dispursse the Dell computer in the lab through out specific classrooms.
  • Goal Two: To fully equip and make the laptop carts available to all teachers an d students.
  • Goal Three: To provide professional development to teachers based on their needs and expressed interest
  • Goal Four: To develop a school technology plan that integrates technology throughout the content areas.
  • Goal Five: To ovselete old and unusable equipment in the school.
  • Goal Six: To provide professional development on the use of Excel in the classroom

  • How to use the schools urrent technology to implement professional development.
  • How to.develop an effective school technology plan.

  • The majority of teachers are unfamiliar with how to integrate technology in the classroom
Details of Classroom Collaboration:
  • Graces two and six collaborative plan their units with little technology included. Ms. Foster and Ms. Martinexz will plan sessions for these teachers to learn to plan using a Wikispace.
Kindergarten, first grade and other teachers may be given further training on using the SmartBoard and mobile cart rotation scheduling.

Next Steps: (Follow-up Procedures):
  • Identify grade specific turkey teachers. who can effectively provide professional development and support to their peers.
Engage these teachers in professional development relevent to the integration of technology in the learning environment.
Anticipated Outcomes:
  • Outcome 1: Turnkey teachers will be well trained and effective deliverers of professional developlment.
  • Outcome 2: There will be a noticeable increase in the number of teachers using technology in the classroom
  • Outcome 3: Students use of technology will increase and be evident in their projects, classwork and homework.
Areas of Concern (if any):
  • Teachers appear to be fearful and reluctant to use computers with their students.
Develop teacher comfort with using technology.
Creating an environment where all computers pring and student work can be saved on a server for easier access.
Extra Support Needed:
  • Dispursing and obseleting equipment.
Professional development to develop skill in using Outlook E-mail accounts, Basic Office Suite skills, Developing Wikispace to foster curriculum mapping, Strategies for effective Internet searching, Identifying internet based resources and activities that uspport instruction
